When I founded LifeSmiles Dental Hygiene, my vision was to provide a unique experience for my clients. I wanted to take a proactive approach to oral health by integrating the most current and state-of-the-art technology, research, and products while also taking a natural and holistic approach. I also wanted to work in partnership with my clients, educating and empowering them to take an active role in their oral health and providing an environment where they feel respected in their treatment choices.

LifeSmiles is excited to offer Canary Scans
What is The Canary System?
The Canary System is a low-power, pulsating laser that uses infrared sensors to detect subtle changes in heat and light to examine for the presence of tooth deminealization and early dental decay.
How will The Canary System help me with my Oral Health?
It can detect a breakdown in the tooth crystal structure much sooner than when it could be detected by the naked eye or dental x-rays. When deminerlaization is identified early it may be possible to remineralize the tooth structure or treat the tooth with minimally invasive treatment.
Is The Canary System safe?
The Canary System is safe, pain-free, non-invasive, and does not use radiation. With The Canary Scan, you can be confident that issues are caught early, saving you tooth structure and money in the long run.
How much does it cost?
The Canary Scan is preformed as part of a new client or routine hygiene appointment without additional cost.
Prevention, Early Detection, Monitoring
Plaque Microscopy
What is the oral microbiome?
We all have a little eco system of bacteria in our mouths. Some bacteria are beneficial, some harmless, and other can cause disease in your mouth as well as in other parts of your bodies.
What is a plaque microscopy?
We take at a sample of your plaque and look at it under the microscope. This allows us the determine if you have any of the bad bugs present. When we identify these bad bugs we can tailor your treatment and monitor the success of treatment.
How does it benefit my health?
This allows us the detect and treat gum disease earlier. Early detection may prevent the need for more invasive and expensive treatment and allow you to maintain a healthy smile and overall health for life.
